About Us

The Cupar & District Floral and Horticultural Society is a leading gardening organisation supporting horticulture in North East Fife.

The Society was established in 1911 by a group of gardening enthusiasts to promote interest in and enjoyment of traditional pastimes in the growing of plants and vegetables for pleasure and food, on a non-commercial basis.  Keeping to the desire of the founders, the Society has pledged to organise flower and craft shows on an annual basis. Still run completely by volunteers, the Cupar Flower Show attracts a wide range of horticulturalists and crafters from Fife and beyond and is committed to providing our visitors with access to high quality exhibits.

The Cupar & District Floral and Horticultural Society marked its centenary year in 2011 with an extraordinary annual Flower & Craft Show with Jim McColl from the BBC’s Beechgrove Garden hosting a Gardener’s Question Time, amongst other personalities in attendance.  Full details and results are available from the Centenary Flower show page.

This Society is run completely by volunteers.

We are looking for pro-active members to join our committee.  Getting involved is easy and is not too onerous.

We usually meet 3 times per year to organise our events; could you lend a hand to set up/dismantle the staging for the Show or give a couple of hours at our coffee morning.  Help is always welcome and very much appreciated.

If you would like to help and become part of our Show, please contact Wanda Wheelans on 01334 654648.
